Beautiful lucets, made in cherry wood, to make cords for your medieval, renaissance, and Victorian clothing.
These lucets are approximately 4.5" in length, just over 2" at the widest part of the horns, and about 1/4" thick. They are very comfortable in the hand.
Lucet braids tend to be square or rectangular, and are slightly stretchy. Due to the structure of the braids, knots made with them will tend not to slip. They are very useful for lacing (for clothing or footwear), for drawstrings, or as cords for event tokens or favors.
Due to the handmade nature of these, they will vary slightly in size and shape. Also, due to wood being a natural product, the color and grain patterns will be unique for each lucet.
The lucets are finished with a food-safe oil, then buffed lightly with a finishing wax. With minimal care, they should last for miles of cord!
