Exquisite hand-turned Viking-style mead cup, in white oak, based on examples from the Coppergate finds of Viking-era Jorvik (York, England).
Approximately 3" tall and 3" diameter, these cups are finished with three coats of wiped Urushi, a Japanese lacquer. As such, they are resistant to water and alcohol, as well as any other acidic drinks you might have. Being "spindle-turned" (i.e., with the grain running vertically), they show some amount of medullary rays seen in quarter-sawn oak.
Listing is for a single cup; due to the natural variability of wood, and the hand-turned nature of these cups, each one is unique, and there will be slight differences between each.

Great product but misleading title. Item listed in title as “cups” and no quantity selection. Photos showed multiple cups. Upon receiving only one in the mail, I double checked item description and sure enough at the very bottom of the description, it says the listing is for one only. Felt swindled but other than that, the quality is nice. Detailed/important cleaning instructions, not for casual use
