A hand-turned cherry-wood cup, sized perfectly for holding a plastic cup.
I have spent years looking for a durable, food-safe, liquid-safe finish for my cups, which would seal the wood to prevent seepage, and keep the wood from being stained. Then I realized that using a plastic drinking cup, inside the wooden cup, would perform just as well!
Sized for a 16oz plastic cup (one is included). The wood of the "outer" cup feels good in the hand, looks good, and insulates your hand from the drink, keeping both at the perfect temperature for longer! The wood portion is finished with a food-safe walnut oil; it can be "touched-up" with any food-safe oil. Cherry wood darkens naturally over time, particularly with exposure to light.
Care instructions: Hand-wash, towel dry; do not put in the dishwasher. Microwave-safe, but it may shorten the life of the cup.
