Hand-turned, wooden mead cup, made of curly maple, based on the Jelling Cup from medieval Denmark.
Approximately 3.5" high, and about 2.75" in diameter at the lip. There is beautiful horizontal tiger-stripe figuring and "chatoyance" on the bowl of the cup. These cups are truly stunning to behold.
These cups are finished with a food-safe oil finish. They should stand up to years of use in the mead hall!
Listing is for a single cup, similar to that pictured. Due to the natural variability in wood, and the hand-made nature of these cups, there will be some slight differences between cups. If multiples are ordered, and you wish them to be as similar in design as possible, please let me know when ordering. Cheers!
